A particular challenge was the installation of the units into the existing building across four levels, at heights of up to 20 meters.
The general contractor scope of delivery by ETW also included the construction of the foundation with 36 bored piles, the machine enclosure, steel structure, and the CHP plant technology including the medium-voltage switchgear, the connection to the 110 kV transformer, and the integration into the district heating network of the city of Duisburg.
